Welcome to University Diabetes & Endocrine Consultants

Coronavirus Emergency Procedures

University Diabetes & Endocrine Consultants will remain open during the current pandemic.  Our office adheres to CDCP guidelines for virus remediation, and for patients unable to come to the office, we are arranging for virtual visits for routine and some emergency care.
Remember, we may not have complete control over infection, but we can refuse to yield our health to it.

For our patients with diabetes:
We understand that many of our patients may be fearful of viral infection, with media reports of increased risk to people with diabetes.  For persons with very poor blood glucose control, mortality risk is increased for any viral infection, including influenza.  Better control of diabetes reduces risk from any infection.  Stress can affect glucose control, so don't ruminate or let depression or anxiety persist...get help from us or from family or useful work.  Movement helps, so try to stay active even if quarantined.  Better understanding usually conquers fear.  Use the buttons below to learn about the current virus issue, and contact us for any help you may need to improve glucose control.
We'll get through this together.

We are participating in the Monoclonal Antibody Infusion Phase 2 studies!  If you have COVID-19 symptoms or test positive, call us within 24 hours to enter the study protocol. The study medications are given as a 1-hour IV infusion within 72 hours after symptom onset. The studies sponsor close laboratory monitoring to help predict and prevent virus complications.
